Due to stricter security policies now required for various software used to connect to your accounts across the web, such as email software, ftp software, etc. Plaintext and non-encrypted connections can no longer be used.
Please use the settings below inside your email client for each email address you have setup. If you are unsure how to modify your email clients settings, please refer to your email clients documentation.
Change emailaddress@yourdomainname.com to your actual email address, and all instances of domainname.com to your actual domain name.
Username: emailaddress@domainname.com
Password: use the email accounts password
Incoming Mail Server:
- mail.domainname.com
- IMAP Port: 993
- POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server:
- mail.domainname.com
- SMTP Port: 465
Important: IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.
Notice – Email Clients & Software: SSL Encryption has been depreciated and is no longer supported. Most older email clients and software DO NOT support the required TLS encryption, therefore, will need to be upgraded to newer versions.
Once you make the above changes you can test the settings before you close the email settings. Once the test is successful you may need to restart your email client/software.
